The frame is taking it's shape

As was mentioned in our first entry the backbone of our dragster in the making is a frame for Lambretta TV 175 Series II. It has been modified for racing purposes several years ago by Loonie #1, but it never reached any racing circuits. All the floor struts are gone and the frame loop has been replaced with bend tubes with small sections of flat steel for seat still intact.

Frame when we started

Next step is to cut down the fork tube to allow fitment of Lambretta Vega legshields and fork, which we got from our generous sponsor. We are also adding length to the frame with section of genuine Innocenti tubing we got from our Savonian supplier. Frame loop needs also some attention: we either lower it by couple of centimeters or chop it off.

After that we can do our first dry build for some measurements to decide whether the rake/trail needs altering or no.

Starting point

What we have now?
  • Lambretta TV 175 Series II frame from 60's
  • Bare engine casings
  • Worb5-tuned TS1 with Wiseco piston
  • Two sets of leather overalls
  • Other stuff that's going to be needed

More information about the actual project and protagonists behind it will be published later.
